Iraola doesn’t expect Tottenham-bound Solanke to leave
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has shot down suggestions that Dominic Solanke could leave the club before the end of the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for the Cherries in 2023-24, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists in 24 appearances.
Solanke has scored 12 Premier League goals this season and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a £50m bid for him before the winter deadline.
However, ahead of Thursday’s league clash with West Ham United, Iraola said he hoped the centre-forward would remain at the Vitality Stadium.
andquot;I don’t know anything about that. I have no news about it. As I told you over the summer, I expect something to happen to anyone, especially Dom, andquot; Iraola told reporters.
Solanke came through Chelsea’s youth system but failed to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and joined Liverpool in 2017.
The forward made 27 appearances for the Reds but only scored a goal for the Reds. once and was allowed to join Bournemouth permanently in January 2019.
Solanke scored 70 goals and provided 29 assists in 198 appearances for the Cherries, including 21 goals and 10 assists in 95 Premier League appearances.
The striker was signed by Bournemouth in last week’s 5-0 FA Cup win over Swansea City and is set to feature in the West Ham squad for London on Thursday.

andquot;We have a game tomorrow night, I mean. I don’t work on those deals and I don’t focus on that side, andquot; Iraola told reporters as he discussed his side and their chances of adding to their squad before the transfer window closes.
andquot;I think I’m at West Ham, but obviously there are more people at the club focusing on that side. Let’s see how it ends.
andquot;I don’t know the possibilities. We still have over 40 hours. There’s a lot of [time] in this market because everything moves so fast.andquot;
Solanke was also linked with a move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window, although it has been suggested that his form has also attracted Arsenal’s attention as Bournemouth look set to battle to keep him long-term. ..
